Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! I hope you're well and still come on here from time-to-time to look back at the great course we did. I'm going to be co-editing a Special Supplement called Current Trends in Teaching Vocabulary for the ETAS Journal next Spring and would LOVE to hear your thoughts and practical ideas! Please see the Call for Papers link attached and let me know if you want to get involved in this exciting edition. It would be great to have you aboard and your expertise will feature alongside a number of well-known names in ELT (including Penny, too, hopefully :-) ) The deadline is September 30th so no rush. Looking forward to hearing from you! https://www.e-tas.ch/journal/calls-submissions/etas-journal-spring-2019-call-papers

Hi Barbara Hoskins Sakamoto

Hi Barbara Hoskins Sakamoto, I didn't receive the email with the PDF of the slides and the Text Chat from Week 3. Could you email it to me or tell me how to access it? I've really enjoyed the course. Thanks so much for all your help. Francesca
I have not received an email with week 4 recordings/PDF. Can you please verify?

Hi, Steven, I can see only 4 posts for Week 2.

Hi, Steven, I can see only 4 posts for Week 2. Considering the upsurge of activity after the first webinar, this seems odd. Am I doing something wrong?

If you are having trouble with others seeing your posts, or if people can't comment on your posts, it's usually the privacy settings on your Google + account are set to restrict who can see and comment on what you write. To fix both issues, go to 'settings' in google+. I'm using Chrome with my PC, so the screenshots below are from what it looks like on my computer. It might look different on yours. (If you can't find it, just search for "how do I change settings in Google + on _ ", or something like that.) 1) Check that 'anyone' can comment on your public posts. (It's circled in the first photo I've attached, and is at the top of the settings.) 2) Scroll down toward the bottom of the settings and look for "Other". There you'll see "target audience". Make sure it says "anyone". (It's circled in the second photo.) Your posts should now be visible, and allow replies.
Hi, Steven, what does this mean? "Commenting is disabled for this post." Thanks, Elizabeth
I keep commenting in Week 1 Discussions/Tips to share, but I can't see my comments once I've posted :(

Our first live session will begin at 13:00 GMT (about 30 minutes from now).

HINTS for our Google Community

HINTS for our Google Community, Hello everyone, This looks to be a super active group this month. Here are a few hints to help you get the most out of this forum: 1. We will have a place to post your thoughts and homework after each session. It will be called Week 1 Discussion, Week 2 Discussion, etc. 2. We will also have a separate space called Tips to Share, where Penny would like you to add teaching or activity ideas that you recommend or that are variations of tips Penny shares in the live sessions. 3. Make sure you click the circle (+1) after you read a POST or a REPLY so you don't have to read the same messages over and over again. 4. You can edit a post by clicking on the dots in the top right corner and you will see EDIT THIS POST. 5. You can also make sure someone sees your reply by adding their name like this: Steven Herder If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask! Steven
