Hello!

Hello! I'm Jo, 39, Italian, TEFL for +13 years. I'm currently working and living in Bratislava, Slovakia, where I work for a small Slovak company that provides English language tuition to corporate students (GE, BE, life and employability skills, language coaching etc.). Since March 2017 I've been working as an ADOS as well, dealing with admin tasks and providing teacher training sessions nearly once a month. I'm expecting to be reminded of some teaching fundamentals we sometimes seem to forget after teaching for so long and to learn something new in terms of teaching and teacher's training techniques.

  1. Hi, Jo, I hope you will visit my native city, Budapest while you're working in Bratislava. I live in Ecuador now, but I spend a couple of months in Europe each year. I have been doing some teacher training since I arrived in Cuenca six years ago. I think in many countries where English is a foreign language, teacher training is really important, as there isn't much support for the language outside the classroom. I'm sure we'll have a lot to share in this course.

  2. Nice to meet you, Jo! It's so true that over the years we forget the fundamental things. For me, I get into routines and habits and stop thinking sometimes. It's great to refresh with courses like this!
